Manaakitanga: We pride ourselves on hospitality and making sure every person involved in South Sea Spray, from the artists to the volunteers, feel welcomed, well looked after, and valued.

Inclusion and Community: We warmly welcome all people of all ages, ethnicities, genders, and diverse backgrounds to be a part of this movement. We invite all members of the community to enjoy the artwork and take pride in the vibrancy that it brings to their home.

Culture: We honour the Mana Whenua, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and take great pride in our beautiful country of Aotearoa. Our aim is to continue to enrich and add value to New Zealand's arts culture. Our artists take great care and time to understand the unique stories and rich heritage of each place we visit in order to create connection to the land.

Raising the Bar: We support our artists and fight to make sure they are well compensated and valued for their time and work. Through implementing all of our values, we are raising the standard for art festivals around the world.
